Neeley Announces Campaign for Judge, Gregg County Court at Law No. 2
Longview attorney Greg Neeley announced Monday his intention to file as a Republican candidate for Judge, Gregg County Court at Law No. 2.
Citing his energy, dedication and 27 years of civil and criminal experience as a courtroom litigator in Gregg County, Neeley said his candidacy was to fill Gregg County's continued need for "hard working judges who are strong, principled and decisive."
"I am sensitive to the rights of victims and will demand accountability of all convicted offenders.
Most of all, I am committed to the impartial administration of the law and will treat all attorneys and parties with respect."
The 52-year old Neeley is a 1979 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and a 1982 graduate of Texas Tech School of Law. His legal career began in 1982 as an assistant Criminal District Attorney for Gregg County.
After two years as a prosecutor, he left for private practice, specializing in civil litigation, representing individuals and businesses in commercial, personal injury and real estate disputes as well as family, criminal defense and probate matters.
In 1995 Neeley was Board Certified in both Civil Trial Law and Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, designations earned by only 3.3% of Texas attorneys.
Neeley is a Victoria native. His wife is the former Elizabeth Davis of Spring Hill. He enjoys playing golf and spending family time with his wife and their many nieces and nephews.
The Neeleys are residents of Longview, attend St. Anthony's Catholic Church and are both involved in the ACTS ministry.
